Culture Profile: Kerdin Empire
Astrography The Kerdin Empire controls hundreds of thousands of star systems around the Milky Way, but predominantly in Xeno Alley, where human presence is limited to nonexistent. The Kerdin Empire shares significant “borders” – in the form of shared hyperspace lanes and wormgate networks – with its predominant rivals, the Dynic Hegemony, the Principality of Nomoki and the United Galactic Federation. Next to the Dynic Hegemony, the Kerdin Empire is the largest non-human empire in the galaxy, although non-human “swarms” such as the Tick Swarm and the Universal Collective far outnumber the Kerdin Empire. The Kerdin Empire’s capital of Kraithon Prime is unique among most galactic capitals in that it is not an ecumenopolis, but rather an overgrown jungle world.
